PROTECT THE RIVER & TRAILS
Explore the Trinity River and discover 100+ miles of scenic trails out there.
Streams & Valleys is proud to work alongside the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) and the City of Fort Worth to protect, enhance and celebrate the Trinity Trails system in Fort Worth.
Encompassing more than 225 miles and winding through much of the city, it’s the best place in Tarrant County to walk, run or cycle. You can even ride on horseback or paddle the river. The Trinity Trails system offers an amazing range of experiences, whether you want to get away from it all in a peaceful setting, explore a beautiful park, or stroll along a busy trail bordered by popular restaurants and shops. For more info, read this list of fun trail activities prepared by Visit Fort Worth.
TRWD manages the trail system, while the city owns and maintains many of the parks that are connected by the trails. Streams & Valleys advocates for funds to be spent on trail improvements operates programs to enhance the trails and the river, and implements programs and events to celebrate the river we have today and tomorrow.
Our partner organizations have all kinds of resources and events planned in, on and around the Trinity River. You can also find a guide to the various Trails.
