Lauren Deen, Executive Director
A fourth-generation Fort Worth native with more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Lauren Deen serves as Executive Director of Streams & Valleys. Lauren brings a proven track record in fundraising, community engagement, and organizational growth across education, conservation, and public health sectors.
Previously, Deen held key leadership roles at Friends of the Katy Trail in Dallas, Tarrant To and Through Partnership (T3), and Texas Center for Arts + Academics, where she spearheaded fundraising campaigns, built strategic partnerships, and advanced impactful initiatives supporting community and youth success.
Deeply connected to Fort Worth, Deen is passionate about the Trinity River as one of the city’s greatest natural assets and believes its long-term success depends on strong collaboration among residents, businesses, nonprofits, and public partners. At Streams & Valleys, she is focused on building the community investment and partnerships needed to ensure the Trinity River and its trails remain vibrant, accessible, and protected for generations to come.
