Streams and Valleys was formed in 1969 for the purpose of
planning and coordinating the beautification and recreational development of the Trinity River and its tributaries in Fort
Worth and Tarrant County. Building trails, planting trees and providing access to the river are some of the ways that this
non-profit organization ensures that the Trinity remains an important public amenity. Streams and Valleys works
in close cooperation with government and community agencies. Community organizations, foundations and individuals contribute
funds for its operation.

Friends of
the River is the energetic, committed Streams and Valleys volunteer organization that designs events and creates initiatives
to increase awareness and raise funds that assure the long-term enjoyment of the Trinity River and its environs in Fort Worth
and Tarrant County.
