The City of Fort Worth is the official caretaker of the public property surrounding our branch of the Trinity River, governing and supporting each Streams & Valleys project.


Tarrant County, Texas

Tarrant County encompasses Fort Worth and 40 other cities in the Trinity River area. The county provides critical support to keep the river cool – such as funds to help the TRWD save Eagle Mountain Lake.

Trinity River Vision Authority

The TRVA focuses on development of the river through the Trinity River Vision, a 10-year project to transform 88 miles of Fort Worth’s Trinity River, creating Trinity Uptown and revitalizing Gateway Park. The TRVA is made up of representatives from the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, the TRWD and Streams & Valleys, as well as a citizens advisory committee.
