Historians say that without the Trinity River, Fort Worth would never have existed. We believe that without it today, the city would have no soul.
Streams & Valleys formed to save the river after the flooding and levee construction of the ’40s and ’50s had reduced it to a garbage dump. Today, more than 40 miles of river trails and 8,000 new trees later, we are still the only nonprofit organization committed to saving, sharing and celebrating the Trinity River.
Streams & Valleys, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that plans and coordinates recreation enhancements, beautification efforts and public recognition of the Trinity River and its tributaries in Fort Worth and Tarrant County through volunteer recruiting, fundraising, development and event programming.
